The Cannabis Boomer's Daily Feed for December 05, 2025

Bette Midler, the legendary entertainer known as the "Divine Miss M," has long been open about her fondness for marijuana. From her early days performing at gay bathhouses in New York to her recent one-woman show, Midler's relationship with cannabis has been a constant thread throughout her illustrious career.

As cannabis legislation evolves globally, concerns over driving under the influence of cannabis are increasing. The heterogeneity of risk among cannabis users remains poorly understood with most research originating from North America.

The Cannabis Boomer then reviews a study that investigated the impact of THC inhalation on driving collisions and the relationship between car crashes and self-assessed driving ability as measured by Visual Analog Scales and the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale.

The final study covered in this podcast episode evaluated the prevalence and correlates of self-reported driving after cannabis use among cannabis-using adults aged 50 and older in the United States.
